Aulus Camilius Ilarius
Name: Aulus Camilius Ilarius DOB: March 28, 100 AD Age at death: 29 Gender: Male Rank: Centurion in the Roman Army stationed in Britannia. Commanded about 100 men in the legion�s sixth cohort. Ilarius died in service. (compare to a naval captain) **Legio XX Valeria Victrix** Information: Ilarius grew up during the reign of Trajan to wealthy parents. At fifteen Ilarius gave up his toga praetexta as an offering to the gods and donned his toga virilis, symbolizing his coming of age. Not long after Ilarius was off to join the army. He signed a contract to complete his twenty-five years required by the state, and hoped to emerge as a politician by the time he was through. Ilarius became responsible for a command in Britain where Emperor Hadrian had commanded the building of his wall to keep out the Scottish barbarians. A skirmish in 129 left Ilarius mortally wounded and he died on his way back to Rome in what is now �modern day� Portsmouth. Without a wife to tug at his conscience, Ilarius shared many nights in his allotted room in the barracks with his optio- a dashing and brilliant young man destined for great things. Much of his life was spent during peacetime� he helped build roads. Appearance: Ilarius is tall, lean, and muscular. He has sun kissed skin, a head of dark Mediterranean curls, brown eyes, and a strong jaw. See the pictures lol Personality: Ilarius has the ability to command, but also the valuable skill to be humorous. He�s a typically charming man, dutiful, and very trustworthy. He�s no stranger to promiscuity, but what soldier isn�t? His skills as a public speaker were developed at an early age, and Ilarius is very eloquent when he needs to be. He�s outspokenly religious, favoring Fortuna above all for her favor of him.
