Hector Barello
Name: Lieutenant Barello Gender: Male DOB: 26/08/1769 Age: 36 Affiliation: 1st Spanish lieutenant / Now English informant Description: A rather unnoticeable man among his own, he is of average height and weight with dark hair and dark eyes and a weak chin. From his years at sea and in the Indies, he has a dark tan, as well. The weathering of the sea causes him to appear older than he is, and he has deep creases from furrowing his brow. Information: He is loyal to Spain alone and not pleased by what he sees occurring with the Napoleonic wars, believing that with Napoleons weak navy, Spain is the next target for invasion. He is not close to his family, jealous of his two brothers and their relationship with his father, but he is married and soon to be a father when the story begins. He is now the father of a healthy litter. When the prisoners from the HMS Indefatigable were brought in illegally (Spain had not directly declared war on England), he took his wife and helped the prisoners escape, now finding himself poor in a foreign country, when he had finally received his commission as a captain under Spain. After living in poverty in England for some time, he is now working for the English as a negotiator between Spain and England, sometimes as an informant, sometimes as a translator. He is glad to be mostly out of harm's way out of thought for his family, though he still spends much of his time on the sea.
