Entry Title:  Goals
Wow, look at me.  I've written a full three times now in the last week and a half.  I'm really getting good at this journal writing thing.  So although not a lot has happened in the last week or so, I have decided to make myself a list of goals (noting that I've done this before but assuring myself that this time it will work).  Before I continue on, I'd like you to note the new pretty background color.  Now that I'm writing with more frequency, I find myself looking at the same blue color more and more.  So now I'm sick of it.  I like change, and even if my life can't have any at the moment, at least my journal can.

So then, about those goals.  I think I should make the first one a general, lofty goal, and then I can be more specific later.  Goal number one: personal happiness.  Maybe an obvious goal, but not obvious enough to easily achieve, so I'd better put it down.  So then maybe I should have the rest be sub-goals- things to accomplish to get to my main goal.

**********  Okay, I just want to take a time out here to say that this pink color is really appropriate for the patheticness I have come to when I need to actually write down goals like personal happiness.  And thanks god the internet is big enough that no one I know will ever find this and read it.*****************

Okay, back to the goals.  I need to:

1.  Lose Weight (overeating is a strong syptom of unhappiness)
2.  Go back to college (living at home working at Jewel can only lead to unhappiness)
3.  Make more social contacts (I read in the Chicago Tribune today that the happiest people are ones with strong social connections)
4.  Get a Good Job that I enjoy (this will come after the college part, but just the same it's a goal.  I want a fun non-depressing job that also makes good money because money is vital)
5.  Travel (I love traveling and I really wish I could do it more...of course that will come after college and the good job because travel = lots of money that I don't currently have)
6.  Get in Shape (i probably should have put this one before, but oh, well.  I really enjoy being in good physical condition, I need to take up more [or any] physical activities)

That's all I can think of for the moment.  Besides, those are some pretty big goals, so they'll take awhile to accomplish.  As for right now, I need to go to bed, but I'll try to write again soon.
