Hey, I'm Melodie. I'm fifteen-years-old, from Edmonds Washington, and I love to write. I've been writing since I was around age four or five, but didn't really get too into it, until I was about thirteen. I've written many stories, that range in length from a page to 100 pages...

I play the trumpet in jazz band and I think it's really fun and awesome. I play on a Custom Kanstul Burbank, but used to play on a King Liberty. They're both great trumpets, just Liberty is eighty-seven-years-old, so although she's great, she's not quite up to date.

I'm a loner, but the friends I do have, are amazing. I love them. They've stuck by me through thick and thin, and when I switched schools, took me in as one of their own. I love them for that. A lot of my friends go to Edmonds Woodway or are soon to be Edmonds Woodway Alumni, and that's awesome. My main friends at Edmonds Woodway are either in band, in pre-IB or IB, or in both, so yeah.

My family... I'm an only child and I love my family, but I don't really feel like we're a family. My favorite member of my family is my Mom, because she's really inspiring. She's a microbiologist, a chemist, and decided she was tired of those, so she is now an alternative education specialist. Another reason she's an inspiration is that she's always supported me in my goals and given me plenty of freedom. That's really nice. I love you mom!
