FREEDOM IS SLAVERY the new "have-you-seen-it?" zine from your undercova agents @ AMD
THOSE GOD-AWFUL SHOES (a rant from Chicken Little) As if I haven't had enough of lousy trends this year, a new one had to come around. I call it: Ugly Shoe. It's a mesh-lace concotion with fake rhinestone flowers on it. The Shoe comes in a few different styles (slides, high heels, and sneaker) but every single one is completely hideous. THE SHOE, in navy But I think the most interesting thing is what idiots people are. After someone saw Tanya Brache, the *cough* friendliest girl in school wearing The Shoes (in pink) , they rushed out and got them. Now they're everywhere, from Michelle Hoffner's bright blue ones to Ms. Paldin's pukealicious tangerine slides. Now just to wait and see if they'll make a Goth edition with red and black flowers and ripped lace, for the conforming nonconformist.

TOP SECRET TIP OF THE WEEK: MS. *INSERT FAVORITE NICKNAME HERE* CELLIO IS SCARED OF YOU
Everytime I hear a story about some kick-ass plan to rock up AMD a bit (pranks, protests, acts of organized rebellion) it always ends with someone saying "but then we'd get caught, so we can't do it". Well I say do it. If you've ever seen Ms. Cellio rushing to the scene of a crime, you've noticed how she kinda trembles a bit, and yells for people to get out of the way. This is because she's scared. In fact, all of the "authorities" (except McGoldrick, because he kicks ass) are really terrified of us. Even Dixon, who looks like an ex-boxer, is always afraid some punk kid will go out of control. Another tip: The smart ones are especially scary to them. Smart kids are frightening, because they can make stratagies. They can stir up a whole class into doing something, and they can lie their way in or out of it. My opinion is, there are about 800 of us strong, smart kids, compared to 50 of them. So why are we following their rules like freaking sheep? Let's stir things up a bit, AMD. We only live once. Let's have some fucking fun.

Welcome to the first edition of the Freedom is Slavery, Life is Rebellion zine. Allow me to explain a bit. The idea for this zine first struck me when I saw an AMD school newspaper. The thing looked like Ms. Cellio wrote it, nobody daring to say anything even the slightest bit off from want Cellio wanted to hear. There were articles on school diversity (isn't it fun?) and, randomly, the AIDS epidemic. I didn't like it at first glance and I realized it would be impossible to make a paper showing what people in our school really thought--at least not in school. So here you have it, the unofficial newspaper, the one you really want to read, not some processed shit the authorities hand you. Carry on...
