LIFE (Low-Impact Fun, Etc.) Group of Maryland is a social group for women in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. . . and beyond!

We have parties, outings, dinners, trips . . . you name it. The more you join in, the more friends you'll have!

More than 200 women participate in LIFE! You can be one of us (if you dare).

History
Once upon a time, there was a lonely, recently “divorced” woman named Laura.  Laura didn’t have a life.  So, she joined a newly formed group in hopes of making friends, and getting a life.  BUT, very soon afterwards, the group organizer bailed, leaving poor Laura and the 6 other women alone and pissed off. 

So, Laura being the desperate …er, resourceful… person that she is… took up the phone and planned a party.  Women came. Laura and the women had fun.

Laura invented the name LIFE!, remembering that at one time she had to get one.  Then, she changed “LIFE!” to an acronym that stood for “Low-Impact Fun Events.”  New members, who were embarrassed by Laura’s pathetic choice, have since changed it to “Lesbians Interaction … something … Events”.  The “something” was really good but no one can remember what it was, because it was a party, and the gals were 3 sheets to the wind.
 
Events & Activities
LIFE! Group is a democratic, work-in-progress, social group.  All members contribute to the success or failure of the group. The group’s membership list has now exceeded 200 women and is growing daily!  Members are from Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, Delaware, and North Carolina.
 
LIFE! Group depends on volunteers, also called activity coordinators, to organize functions and events for the group.  Without these wonderful, kind, caring, generous of time and spirit women, there wouldn’t be a LIFE! Group.  All are encouraged to take the challenge, however large or small, and contribute to the betterment of yours and over 200 other women’s lives!

LIFE! Group holds a variety of monthly events, for example: bowling, camping, weekends at the beach, parties, charity functions, and more.

Rules of Conduct
* LIFE! Group members make all newcomers feel welcomed!
* No illegal substances, paraphernalia, drugs, etc. are permitted at a group function or on the grounds of a group function.
* LIFE! Group believes in following the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
