Semester 1 - 2004
I've decided to change courses which entails numerous trips to SATAC and phone calls and visits to Campus Central to organise transcripts then back to SATAC to stand in queues for ages.
Still, the end result will be worth it (many years down the track).
I bet the bar there sucks!
Well I've been accepted into a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biodiversity, Environmental & Park Management).
I hope the drive out to Mawson isn't a pain in the arse but only time will tell.
All I gotta do now is wait and enrol.
I should probably keep my mouth shut on this page because so far, even on day one:
The bar at Mawson sucks
and
The drive out to Mawson is a pain in the arse.
SIX classes for only TWO subjects !!
March - 2004
(another change of plans)
Well I've gone back to my GIS studies for a number of reasons:
I'm doing 200 kilometeres each week to get to Mawson
While I'm only doing two subjects, I still have to attend SIX classes each week.
I'm out at Mawson four days each week.
Two of my classes last only 50 minutes but I use up 90 minutes of travelling time to get there and back from work.
I'm out at Mawson doing 3 of my classes on Monday and they are so spread out that I can't make up any time back at work.
To make up my time I have to work 7am to 7pm  on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

UniSA doesn't seem to give a fuck about "Part time" students.
Or at least their definition of "Part-time" is significantly different from mine.
My idea of "Part-time" is someone who works full-time and still goes to Uni.
I think UniSA's idea of "Part-time" doesn't take into account someone with a full time job.

Bottom line is that I missed out by a week on starting two GIS subjects so I'm now starting this year's study in Semester 2.
I had no idea that I'd be facing so many obstacles when all I'm doing is trying to upgrade my qualifications and improve my job prospects.
