~*~ Chapter 6 ~*~
NEW YORK CITY, NY – KIRSTIN’S LOFT – JAN. 22TH, 2002 – Tuesday
Kirstin opened her eyes. She was facing the window of her bedroom. It was already bright outside. She then frowned. She could feel a set of eyes staring at her. When she turned over, there they were. Those big blue eyes just looking at her. She smiled big.
“Hey, you.” Kirstin stretched.
“Hey, baby.” Ashley couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. She was so amazingly beautiful. He kissed her gently on the mouth, moved the sheets down a bit and then kissed her belly.
“What was that for?” Kirstin frowned and smiled at his face at the same time.
“So your stomach won’t hurt today.”
“Aw, aren’t you sweet today?” Kirstin messed his hair up.
“Aw, aren’t I sweet always?” Ashley joked and it made Kirstin giggled.
“Yes, you are!” Kirstin pulled him to her and kissed him passionately.
“I love you so much.” Ashley said when they pulled back from the kiss.
“I love you more. Last night was… amazing!” Kirstin’s eyes were shining. It sure was amazing sex.
“Well, it’s just that you are not used to having great sex. My great sex. But don’t worry, I’ll make sure you get used to it.” Ashley grinned.
“Oh, I’ll sure be counting on that, mister.” Kirstin grinned and pecked his lips quickly “What time is it?”
“It’s 10:30.” Ashley asked looking over Kirstin’s shoulder and to the clock on her nightstand.
“Oh, my God! Missed 2 classes! Man, you always make me miss classes! You’re a menace to student girls!” Kirstin sat up.
“Sure am! But tell me it wasn’t worth missing 2 classes after the amazing night we had.”
“It sure was…” Kirstin grinned “But seriously, I really have to go. What will you do today?” Kirstin asked while putting on her clothes.
“I was thinking of being with my girlfriend, seeing that the guys will only get here after midnight.”
“Oh, well… I have class, sweetie. And then work! How can we do this?” Kirstin frowned.
“Well, don’t know… can’t I drop you off at college and then pick you up to go to work?”
“Sure! That’d be great! But what would you be doing until I get home?”
“I don’t know. Shopping maybe. I forgot to give you a present for you last birthday anyway.”
“Ash, that was like… 2 months ago!”
“That’s exactly why I have to make it up to you!” Ashley got up and kissed her on the neck.
“You already made it up last night.” Kirstin smiled.
“Well, last night I was making up for leaving you on Thursday. The present I’m buying today will make up for the lost birthday.”
“Oh, you’re too much.” Kirstin played with his hair.
“I am, aren’t I? That’s why you love me this much.”
“It probably is.” Kirstin giggled “But, listen, I seriously have to go like… now! So, get dress and let’s go.”
“Ok, let’s!”
NEW YORK CITY, NY – NYU – JAN. 22TH, 2002
“Hey.” Kirstin found Grace at the library.
“Hey. Where were you?” Grace asked, worried.
“At home. Ashley just dropped me off.” Kirstin sat next to her friend.
“Really? Can see you had a big night last night.” Grace grinned.
“Oh, I did. It was amazing! Really! Never before had I had such a wonderful, loving sex night. Oh, my God!”
“Good. That was the point, right? Buying that lingerie and the candles?”
“Yeah. But I didn’t know it was gonna be that good!”
“Well, good for you then! As happy as I am for you, I really don’t wanna hear the details!”
“G, did you realize that we are both dating famous guys now?” Kirstin asked her friend.
“Yeah… never really stopped to think about that. Mark is so… normal with me, you know? Doesn’t seem like a celebrity.”
“Well, that’s Ashley to me.”
“I know, but it’s different with you because you’ve known Ashley before he was famous. But not me. I just met Mark and he’s being so… such a regular guy around me. That week was so great.”
“You never told me about that week.”
“Well, you needed me that night. I wouldn’t talk about my relationship. I was there for you.”
“I know, G. And I thank you.” Kirstin smiled to her friend “But how are things with Mark?”
“Couldn’t be better. He’s sweet, such a gentleman. Everytime we went out for dinner, he’d pull the chair for me, open the door to his car… he’s… dreamy. That’s all I can say.”
“Good for you. Because you deserve it.” Kirstin smiled weakly and looked down.
“What’s wrong, K?”
“Just talking about Mark kinda reminds me of… you know?” Kirstin’s smile faded.
“Yeah… I’m so sorry. Barry is a jerk. We should have seen it before. I’m sorry he hurt your feelings, girl.”
“Well, actually, I was kinda glad that whole thing happened with Barry, you know?”
“You were glad?” Grace was surprised.
“Yeah, because if it wasn’t for Barry, I would have never figured out my feelings for Ashley. He made my feelings for Ashley more clear. So… I’m kinda thankful everything happened that way. And because of him, I came home earlier that day and found Tom with Beach Barbie in my loft, so… all things turned out for the best.”
“I guess… when you put it that way.”
“Let’s go. Mrs. Novak’s class is about to start.”
“Yep.”
The girls got up and headed for their class, neither of them too excited about that.
When the classes for that day were over, Kirstin waited for Ashley to come pick her up. It took only a few minutes until Ashley pulled over the car and Kirstin got in.
“Hey.” she pecked Ashley’s lips.
“Hey, sweetie. How were the classes?”
“Boring.”
“See? Should have stayed in bed with me!” Kirstin giggled “I still haven’t found anything good for you. Tried some malls, but nothing yet.”
“Ash, really, you don’t have to worry about getting me a present. Everything’s fine.”
“No, I wanna get you something. I’ll find something, I promise. Just don’t know what yet.”
“It’s your call.”
“Oh, I called a doctor that’s supposed to be the best one on these stomach issues.”
“Oh, good!” Kirstin showed excitement. She wouldn’t mind getting rid of her stomach aches.
“But he’s really busy, so he’ll only have time for you in 2 weeks.”
“2 weeks?” Kirstin raised her voice a bit.
“Yeah, sorry. But I want you to go to the best one in town. And he’s suppose to be it.”
“Ok, I guess. It’s getting better, I think. Didn’t feel a thing today.”
“Really?” Ashley asked and Kirstin nodded “Good! See? My kiss helped, I know that.” Ashley grinned at her.
“Probably.” Kirstin grinned back.
“Ok, so we’re here.”
“Yeah. Listen, I’ll call you when I’m almost done here, so you can come pick me up, alright?”
“Yeah, sure.”
“Ok, then. Thanks.” Kirstin pecked his lips “Bye.”
“Bye.”
