REDDING, CA – The Addams’ House – Dec. 25th 2001
It was almost 4 p.m. and Kirstin was not ready yet. Her mother had told her earlier that the guests would be arriving around 4. In her robe, she got out of the bathroom. She got her dress that was lying on the bed, her underwear and her jewelry on the drawer, her shoes in the closet and headed for the bathroom again. Tom was already dressed up, sitting by the foot of the bed, watching some game that was on the TV. He was wearing black pants, a black belt, black shoes and a long sleeve, baby blue button down shirt. His dark brown hair was perfect with a touch of gel on. He looked really good.
Kirstin took a good look at herself in the mirror. She didn’t know if she was prepared to see Ashley with Hailey. She didn’t know if she was prepared to see Ashley with anyone, never mind if it was Hailey or not. She took a deep breath and started putting on her underwear.
When she was all dressed up, she took another good look at herself in the mirror. She hated being dressed like that. She was not comfortable at all in those shoes, dress and make-up. That figure standing in front of the mirror was a total stranger to her. She was wearing a 3-inch-highheel silver shoes with stripes and the purple, almost black, dress her mother had given her earlier. The dress was really tight, revealing her perfect body shape. It had spaghetti straps holding it, showing all of her shoulder and a lot of her skin. Her hair was tied up in a mess bum, with just some locks hanging lose, framing her face better. She had matching silver earrings and necklaces. She had a light make-up on that consisted of lip-gloss, mascara and silver eye shadow. She hated make-up. And it wasn’t like she needed it, because Kirstin had a perfect skin.
She took another deep breath and got out of the bathroom. Tom was still staring at the TV.
“Come on, Tom. We better get downstairs.” she said
giving out her hand for him. Tom stood up and just stayed there, without saying
a word, just staring at Kirstin “What?” she asked and got no response.
She insisted “What, Tom? It’s this dress, isn’t it? Yeah,
I don’t know about it, either. It’s too tight. I’m not really
liking it, I think I…”
“No, no, no!” Tom interrupted her “It’s
perfect. It’s just that I’ve never seen you… dressed like
this before. Wow. You just look… amazing. I mean… I have no words
for it, you are like… wow…”
“Tom, please, stop it. I hate when people stare at me. See? I’ll take this dress off.”
“Absolutely not! I won’t let you. You look amazing.”
“Are you sure? I mean, this is just so not me.”
“You are absolutely gorgeous.”
“Thanks, Tommy.” she said, pecking him on the lips “Oh, there’s one thing that’s missing.” she said, heading for the nightstand.
“What is that?”
“Your present.”
“Oh, yeah. Here, let me put it on you.” Tom got the ankle bracelet and placed it on Kirstin “Perfect.”
“Yes. The perfect touch.” she pecked him on the lips once more “Thank you again.” Tom just smiled “Now, let’s go. I already heard the doorbell ring once.”
When the two of them got downstairs, the Johnson family was already there. They talked for a while. Mr. Johnson wanted to know how Kirstin’s life was going and was happy to know she was engaged. She left Tom there for a second and went to look for her mother in the kitchen.
“Mom, do you need help with anything?”
“No, Kirstin, I’m fine. Mrs. Johnson is helping me here.” then Mrs. Addams took a better look at her daughter “Wow! You look great, Kirstin. I’m so glad I bought you that dress.”
“Yeah, thanks, mom. Tom sure liked it.”
“Well, who wouldn’t? Just look at you. Oh, you look great.”
“Thanks, mom. I’m getting that a lot, actually. And I hate it, you know that.”
“Yeah, but a little attention doesn’t hurt anyone.”
“Yeah, ok. Well, then let me go back to Tom. If you need anything, just let me know, mom.”
“Ok, honey.”
Kirstin came back to where Tom was, but he was not there anymore. She frowned, but then felt an arm around her waist.
“Here. I got you some wine.” Tom handed her a glass of white wine and she turned over to face him.
“Thanks, baby. Did Mr. Johnson treat you right?” she asked taking a sip off her wine glass.
“Yes, he was all right. He just kept asking things like where did we meet and if I work and stuff like that.”
“Oh, ok.”
“Can we go outside?”
“Yeah, sure. Is everything ok?”
“Yes, I just wanna get some air.”
“Ok.”
When they got outside, they sat on a lounge chair. Tom was behind Kirstin, wrapping his arms around her.
“It’s nice Christmas here in California. It’s kind of warm here.”
“Yes, well, no white Christmas, which is a shame, because I really like it when it snows.”
“Yeah, well. Next year we can stay in New York.”
“Oh, we will. You are not dragging me to Redding again anytime soon, mister.” Tom chuckled.
They stood there for a moment and decided to head back inside.
When they got there, only the Angel family and Carol Allen were missing. They greeted everyone and decided to stand near the fireplace, drinking some wine.
“Man, I’m starving!” Tom exclaimed.
“Well, what time is it now?”
“It’s 5:15.”
“We should be eating soon. Our Christmas dinner is rather early.”
“Good, because I could really use some food.”
“And I could really use a make out session.”
“Kirstin, but your family is here. You know I’m too shy for these things and…”
“I don’t care if my family is here. They don’t care either. And I don’t see my family around here, do you?” Tom scanned the living room. Indeed, her family was not there, just Mr. Johnson’s kids and 2 ladies talking “See? Now kiss me.” Tom kissed her softly on the lips “Oh, come on! I know you can do much more than that.”
Tom smirked and pressed his lips hard on Kirstin’s. His tongue touched her upper lip and she allowed him to enter her mouth. She moaned when their tongues touched. It was so good. Her hands were moving up and down his back and his just stayed on her hips. He then left her lips and kissed his way down her neck. She had her eyes closed.
“See? I told you could do more than that.” she said by his ear, licked it and with a smile on, she opened her eyes. The second she opened it, her smile faded. Ashley Angel was standing just a few feet away, staring at her.
