October 18th 2004: This is the first update to this page in almost two years, and it is with a sad heart that I admit I may never continue this comic. Those of you who had some hope I would make new comics won't understand my reasons for not continuing on with it, but I just can't bring myself to do something my heart isn't into. Thank you for reading the comic, even if Geocities destroyed the Javamenus and made it impossible to do so. ~Tre February 19: Well shock!!! I didn't take into account that my JSMenu script is independant of my ButtonNavi scripts... so if you try to select a comic from the Menu it will show just fine... but when you try to go back a comic based on the one the menu displays it will just go back a comic in the sequence. (Ie. if you clicked on "Previous" until you wound up on Comic LoT#009 and then hit "Comic LoT#013" on the menu, and then hit "Next" it would take you to LoT#010. Please bare with this little screw up while I modify the script just a little bit more so that the variables are constant and not just static... I can't believe I finally get the script to work... and then manage to forget something important. Blarg. At least I got rid of the "Alert" scripting I had... that was so stupid. >_< Anyway... that's it from me until the scripts work... I'll let you know when I fix them... but I have so much to do IRL that it might take a week or more. Oh... one last thing... the links menu now has a few new comics that my friends do, so check them out!! ~Tre February 18: I bet you all thought that I was dead! Well no... just been working on Javascripts for the comic so that you don't have to use the navi-menu if you don't ~want~ to. Plus I'm still in the process of moving into the new house... god, who would have thought that moving can be such a pain?! But it's almost over... I even have the phone line set up in my room and such. Just need to unpack and get my room set up just right. I can't say when I intend to start churning out more comics though, because that all depends on whether I get a job soon or not... as well as how Dasuki handles Photoshop. I refuse to make more crappy looking "Tre" sprites in Image Composer... not when the new ones I have made look 100% better. But you'll see sooner or later. Sorry if I worried anyone out there with my month long absense... but at least I updated the comic site a bit... right? ~Tre January 20: Hey all, I had a few spare hours tonight to do a comic (basically ran out of boxes for packing) and wanted to carry on the storyline. Please bare with me for the comics while I'm moving... honestly I am not happy with the last comic, but at least today's is better... right? Anyway, enjoy the comics while I can update... I'll let people know if I can't do Wednesday's comic by leaving an update notice. ~Tre January 17: Well I guess today's comic won't be wrapping up this part of the story... I have something else in mind currently. I hope that people don't mind it too much. Also this is going to be the last update for a while... we're in the process of a move right now, and I won't have access to the internet for a few days. We might not even have electricity for a few days... so Monday's comic is definately going to be late. I know you'll all understand... We finally have a real "villan" to add to the comic to add that extra something it felt it was missing. See, I told you today's comic would be different, and how! We have Roll back in the storyline... but where oh where could she be? Sorry if it's not up to my normal standards. I still think it's on the funny side, but also shows that Tre isn't always "I'll shoot you in the head". Well if you want to find out, keep reading!! ~Tre December 27: Today marks the start of "Guest week" here at the Life of Tre... it's something I've had in mind for a while, kinda my way to include a few friends :P For those of you not familiar with MegaTug, he's the "brother" of Megaman in Life of Wily. I revamped him to 32-bit, and I think he looks kinda neat like this. ^_^`` Jazz on the other hand was a guest star in Jazz's fancomics for LoW a looong time ago. I was going to revamp Jazz to 32-bit as well, but wanted to use her original sprites. I may make her 32-bit in the future... but not for this storyline. ANYWAY, that's it for today's update and all... Today you all are treated to a double sized comic, and what a funny one it is! :P People are going to wonder just why I gave Roll such enormous "boobies" in today's comic... Well there are a few reasons! For starters, I think it's fricking funny! But for another, more serious reason, it's my way of poking fun at how absurd it is for a comic or video game character to have such huge breasts. I know it's all about "fan service", and that people love it... but realistically speaking, large breasts just aren't that practical. I could go on for hours about that, but this is an update, not a rant section! ^_^`` I just did this comic as my way of thumbing my nose at the comic and video game industry (like always, it's satire!). Jen was a big help with today's comic, and her attitude about the plot was great! It was actually Jen who told me to go with the idea of giving Roll a ridiculous breast size, even after I was talking about not doing it after all. ^_^`` So as always, I hope you enjoy today's comic, and the fact that it's twice the action, twice the panels, and twice the boobie size� well I think that makes for twice the "funny"! ^_~ ~Tre December 20: Today's comic marks the departure of Bat Man from the comics� but don't worry, he may pop in from time to time in the future. It also restores my comic's continuity to that of Life of Wily, seeing as Bass is still trapped in the Dungeon in Jim's comics. ^_^ Jen did the scripting for today's comic with me, which was a huge help! My original scripting was just waaaaaay too wordy! I mean my goodness! But this script is way better, trust me :P Also stay tuned for Monday's comic to see what Tre does to Roll this time! :P As always, enjoy! ~Tre December 18th: Today's comic is both a tribute, and a nudge-nudge to Jay Field, the author of Life of Batman! (Jay, you know what I'm refering to *Nudge nudge, wink wink*) Jen helped with the script again, and she should start getting credit for it, since she's done such a great job! So I'm thinking of something more than just crediting her in these updates like this... Today marks the official start of the Life of Tre with comic #000! A very special thanks goes to my wonderful girlfriend, Jen... without whom I would not have gotten the comic up on time! This marks the start of the site's *ahem* GRAND OPENING!! So how do I start a new webcomic? By letting you see the first of the "Life of BatMan" fancomics!!! That's right... the Tre is starting a webcomic site... based on fan comics for another site... get over it! :P But seriously, these comics will lead to the official start of "The Life of Tre" series... and if all goes well, I might keep the three comics a week updates... IF all goes well.
