An evening at Kunstlers Treff, Burggasse, Wien
Kunstlers Treff is a little pub owned by Suhendra & Julia. I'm not sure if I can claim them to be Indonesian but surely they speak Indonesian fluently and cook very good Indonesian food! I'm glad I found (or was referred to) the place. Their rendang, sate, bumbu bali and cap cay plus many others are just like the ones we would find at home (Indonesia that is!).

These pictures below were taken on one of the evenings we indulged ourselves with rice and its 'lauk-pauk' (dishes).
Date: 24 October 2001
What did we have?

Rice with Sate Ayam,
Tahu Isi and
Ayam Bumbu Bali
plus Sambal Kecap!

Menu was suggested by Julia, we just ate and ate! =)
Ewald
(eagerly looking at the food)
Birgit
(eating with full concentration)
Ruth
(surely satisfied with the food)
Peter
(looking happy, can' t be bad food!)
Vira
(well, it was my type of food
how else should I look like?)
A Man
(smiling nicely, must be satisfied too!)
Wilfried
(he came last so he got the
leftovers, you can't tell here,
can you?). Btw, he only drank one glass of beer.
Julia
(she serves us with good food indeed!)
Pictures made available by
Peter & Ruth, my thanks to them!
