Home Movies Misc. About Us

What the heck is wrong with you? Why are you reading old news. It's not even real news, because well, uh....... IT'S OLD! We're just kidding. Maybe you just wanna catch up on some things going on around the site, because you haven't been here for a while or you're new here. For what ever reason you may have WE DON'T CARE!

Technical Trouble
Darkgreen, 2004-03-21

As some of you may have noticed the site has been down quite often lately. We are sorting out this problem and have reuploaded the site to Geocities (for now, hopefully). Some films might not work (RM versions of Never Give Up, The Temp Episode 1, & The Temp Trailer).

Other than that it was Cody's birthday on Thursday (couldn't post then, because we weren't home), so let's all wish him a happy 13th birthday.

I also added a new link in the links section to Amped-Productions.tk, check it out, there's some cool stuff there. Lastly, our current work in progress is just about 50% done, but I have been getting horrible neck pain every time I animate so it might take longer than expected.

Happy Birthday to Me
Darkgreen, 2004-03-13

Well, it's my birthday I figured I let you know. There's not much more to say, since I just made an update last night.

Ok, fine. You talked me into it. I'll release another little tibit about our current film in the making. It has to do with an important part of brickfilming. That's all I will say to keep you hungry for more.

ROCK! PAPER! SCISSORS!
Darkgreen, 2004-03-12

Once again I was bored so I made these two:

and

They were made using the same method as the fear emoticon in about an hour. I couldn't think of a paer emoticon, so I figured I'd ask what you think should be the paper emoticon. If you have any suggestions email me at [email protected].

We also have begun to film our next film. The only piece of info we are going to release is it has no script and no dialogue, but it has a story and a rather entertaining one, may I add.

DomainDLX back online!
Darkgreen, 2004-03-01

Some of you may have noticed that the site was hosted by www.freewebs.com (EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!) for a short amount of time. This was because DomainDLX was undergoing some renovations. Hopefully we will now not have to switch back and forth.

FEAR ME!
Darkgreen, 2004-02-27

After being bored for an hour on a Friday night, I decided to cook up this new fear emoticon . It took about a half hour while using paintshop pro 7.0 (my photoshop wasn't working, why I don't know, which is why the background is white) while using Bluntman's basic smilly emoticon (which is also commonly used in the Brickfilms.com forums) as a basic shape.

UPDATE: I just got Photoshop working again and changed the background to transparent and changed the framerate to 15fps. I also added in a few more frames at the end to go back to the smile.

Goodbye Geocities, Hello DomainDLX!
Darkgreen, 2004-02-17

Well it's been quite some time since the last formal update, the reason being we've been working our asses off on making this new and improved site and our APE entry Twilight Trouble. There are quite a few new improvements and additions to the site.

Here's a quick list of some of the updates and changes:
-The whole site is now constructed with HTML, which makes things more neat and precise
- Updated Archive.org tutorial (Version 2.0)
- Behind the scenes photos for some films
- Scripts for some films
- Behind the scenes stuff for some films
- New Site colors, which match the logo better
- We now use www.DomainDLX.com as our webspace provider
- Swapped the events and pictures sections for the new Miscellaneous (Misc for short) section, which also has some other little bits and pieces that aren't enough to be a section
- Scrapped the "coming soon" page altogether, thus making our current projects secret

What are you still doing reading this update, go check out all the cool new stuff.

The Temp over 1000 Downloads
Darkgreen, 2004-01-11

Just a quick little notice; The Temp Episode 1 has been downloaded over 1000 times and counting. Now that might not sound like alot to some people out there, but to us it's a huge achievement seeing as we didn't even expect 100 downloads and that its only our second film. Click here for a picture of evidence.

We are almost finished exams, so we will soon be begining to film our APE entry, which should come out in February. We also have started to brainstorm a couple ideas for the Temp episode 2, which might come out around April/May.

Happy 2K4!!!
GinG & Darkgreen, 2004-01-04

Sorry if we're a few days late, but we just got back from Flordia last night and wanted to wish everyone a happy, healthy, and lego filled newyear.

As far as filming goes we are putting everything on pause until we finish our exams in two weeks. And we have decided that our next film is going to be our entry for Brickfilms.com's APE (A Peculiar Event) Contest, so expect it to have a twist or two.

Happy Holidays
GinG & Darkgreen, 2003-12-17

We know it's a wee bit early, but we leaving in an hour to Flordia so we figured we should let everyone know. No worries, we'll be back in just two short weeks. So, we'd like to wish you and your families a happy healthy holidays, whatever you may celebrate, happy that. If you don't celebrate anything, then happy brickfilming!

New Camera and other good news
GinG & Darkgreen, 2003-12-07

Hey everyone, we just got home from purchasing our brand spanking new Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000. We found at a greatly discounted price at Futureshop for only $99.99 (Canadian Currency).

More good news, our site has been crawled by the google bot and we are now listed in google.com's search engine. We also are starting to record the audio for our next film (sorry still can't release any details).

Last but not least, we neglected to mention that "The Amazing Adventures of the Temp: Episode 1" was the spotlight movie on Archive.org for a few days. (If you don't believe us, click here). Oh, and we almost forgot, we now have a tutorial on how to host your movies for free on archive.org (click link to right to see).

Spring Cleaning (in December)
Darkgreen, 2003-12-05

Due to the excessive amount of pictures on the homepage, I've decided to make you lives easier and removed the tool, magnaphone, camera, and Minifig pictures off the page. Hope it makes your life easier.

Commercial Contest: Deadline Extension
By: Darkgreen, 2003-11-06

Due to the fact that Brickshelf.com has been experiencing some difficulties lately, we have decided to extend the contest's deadline to November 15, 2003. To send the file you now have to e-mail the file zipped to us at [email protected] (Please note that files can not exceed 3.98 MB) with the names of all of those who worked on it. If you do not host your films at Brickshelf.com; then please send us the link as requested before.

New Logo (and other stuff)
By: Darkgreen, 2003-10-23

Thanks to the wonderful CGI designer Mathew Crisp we now have a brand new 3D logo on our website that we can be proud of.

As for "The Temp", it is about 75% done. We are nearly finished all video capture and now have hours of editing and whatnot ahead.

Wow Results
By: GinG and Darkgreen, 2003-10-05

Yesterday was the Brickfilm's Words of Wisdom award show in the chat room. We didn't win, but we think we did awesome for our first completed film. We placed in 21st out of 33 entries, which for a first film ain't half bad. If you missed the award show and want to read it please click here

%^%$#@!*#!
By: Darkgreen, 2003-09-23

Oh man! I'm sooooooooooo angry! I accidentally deleted the home page and spent the past 2 hours rebuilding it. I had to rewrite all the news boxes, redo the links, ect. Anywho, what's done is done.

By: GinG and Darkgreen, 2003-09-16

To celebrate our new show/series, The Temp, we are hosting a commercial contest, in which entrants create commercials that will be in the show. For all the details, information and rules please see the [email protected] about what it is that the site is within violation of.

Copyright Trouble
By: Darkgreen, 2003-09-05

Apparently the site has been breaking quite a few copyright laws. To avoid any further problems we are shutting down the site for a couple of days until we have fixed it. Please come back soon.
