M13 Globular Cluster in Hercules is the largest one of its type visible form the northern emisphere. It is 25000 light years away and it is composed of hundreds of thousands of stars enclosed in few hundred light yars diameter.
The globular clusters are thought to be among the ancient objects in the universe with billion of years of age.
This picture is not defiitely the best I have ever done; the focus was not perfect due to the very late time i shot it.
