Memories of Chicago

I went to Chicago to go to the X-Files convention on April 19. I didn't write this stuff then but I should have. This is just a little patch up job of some of the things I did and the people I saw. It was amazing what 2 days and 200 dollars can do for a vacation. Classy restaurants, museums, Shows, transportation. Unbelievable. Any way. Here it goes

Orange lights on the El
A three beer night
A three girl night
Standing on Sandburg's shoulders
Climbing up, up,
High in the Windy City
A windy night
Feeling the wind of the El train pulling in
Been up for two days straight
Riding Greyhound
Packed full of bikers and kids
& roaming hearts
Cheap breakfast at a businessman's hangout
three ninety-nine with a bottomless coffee
My friend and me on the way to Loyola
CTA transit cards pumping out
a dollar fifty fare for each
Hostel
A cheap bunk bed
A roof over head
El train rolling by the window
5 Germans I'll never know
2 Aussie gals I'll never forget
Sketch pads
Cheap eats
Travelling America at leisure
Quite a life
What a dream
Tower of Dreams
Sears Tower
Looming large
Under the clouds
Above the world
A giant accomplishment
Head held high
City below
Staring in amazement
as we see the cloud cast it's shadow over the city
Big Tower
Big Town
Small Bar
Big Time Sarah
Belting out the Blues
Chicago Blues
A Chicago night
Under the Orange lights of the El
