| Born on Valentine's Day in 1918, I feel the Lord chose this day because he knew she was going to be the sweetheart she was. She loved to make hand sewn quilts, even if making one took an entire summer. She was your typical grandmother. She cooked, sewed and baked till the cows came home. Her sense of humor was amazingly light and cheery and her laugh caused everyone around her to laugh also. She was never without opinion hehe, but in her own charming, wise and "grandma" way. She lived a full 80 years, having lost a grandaughter, a husband and 3 sons before the Lord called upon her. She was a very strong woman. She died a mere 5 days after my own birthday in 1998, this was almost exactly 1 week to the minute to when I saw her last. I loved her like a mother in life and in death and will continue to love her that way for the rest of my life, in mind, body and spirit. |

| Boyd Pond: where I spent all of my summers swimming, laying in the sun, picnicing and hanging out with family. Even before my grandfather died, grandma spent every summer of her adult life here. |
