Baldurs Gate 2
An excellent game and I highly recommend it!  A large step up from Icewind Dale and one of the best rpg's of the past few years.  The game play is captivating while it has an equally good plot.  A great game.  Here are some cheats I found.

To access these cheats you have to alter a command file and may want to create a backup.  All you have to do is add Debug Mode=1 under the baldur.ini file in your file directory and you will be able to access the cheat commands.

When you have this altered, at will you may press Ctr+4 to reveal all traps and doors in an area, Ctr+r to heal or ressurect any character, Ctr+y to kill off any enemy (without recieving xp), Ctr+t to cure all illnesses and poisons from a character, and Ctr+j to teleport  all selected characters to the cursors position.  When you make your character you can hit Ctr+shift+8 to give your character max stats.

By hitting Ctr+space you can access a menu to put further cheats in.  Type CLUAConsole:(command)().  With this command you can : Reveal map [hit CLUAConsole:ExploreArea()], Summon many different items [CLUAConsole:CreateItem("item code") I will not list all of the items because of the great number of items and the fact that the codes can be found anywhere.  You can also add gold to your party amount by hitting CLUAConsole:AddGold(amount) or XP by CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP(amount).  There are other console commands but ill leave you to find them on your own!
I just have to say that this game was better than i had expected it to be.  It set a standard for rpg's and won the rpg of the year award when it first came out.  It sets you as an immortal, walking corpse, in the middle of Sigil, The City Of Doors.  It makes for an interesting adventure with nearly any monster of the planes at your mercy.  I have found cheats for this game but it requires the use of a hex editor to change your character profile in the game directory.  I dont actually know the cheats to list them.
Icewind Dale
Another good game that preceded Baldurs Gate 2. This game takes you to the frozen northlands of Ten Towns and Kuldahar.  Although it lacks the ability to choose more or less what happens it is still a very good game.  I also have cheats for this game that involve a very similar proccess as the one for Baldurs Gate 2.

To access the cheat codes go to the icewind.ini file in your file directory.  Add Cheats=1 under the game options and your set.

Now you can hit Ctr+Tab to bring up the code dialog box.  Type in CheatersDoProsper:EnableCheat
Keys(); to access some in game cheats (the same ones that I mentioned in the Baldurs Gate 2 section.

Now by hitting CheatersDoProsper:AddGold
(amount); you give yourself extra cash or CheatersDoProsperSetCurrentXP
(amount); you give your charter that amount of XP. Thats all there is to it!
