| The main purpose of our Summer Reading program is to help maintain or surpass the reading levels of our school-aged patrons, and to introduce the youngest ones to the wonders of reading. We offer small incentives at sign up, and the ability to earn prizes throughout the program. The more you read, the more prizes you earn! Who can participate? Anyone from pre-school through high school. If you are a student, you must be returning to school the following year. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The Summer Reading Program is funded strictly through donations from local businesses, civic organizations, patrons, and monies raised during the Summer Reading Sign-up Day. Please be sure to visit our sponsors page and tell them that you saw them listed on our site.
The Summer Reading Program is run by volunteers, Appomattox County Library Association members and library staff, who begin working at the first of the year to plan this event. |
