About the Summer Reading Program |
Welcome to the J. Robert Jamerson Memorial & Pamplin Depot Librarys Summer Reading Program. This years theme will be FUNtastic Reading: Under the Big Top. Five southern states will be hosting the same theme for 2005. They include Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Virginia. Both Appomattox County libraries look forward to a fun packed Summer. |

The main purpose of the Summer Reading program is to help maintain or surpass the reading levels of our school-aged patrons, and to introduce the youngest ones to the wonders of reading. We offer small incentives during sign up for the program, and the ability to earn prizes. The more you read, the more prizes you earn. |

The Summer Reading Program is funded strictly through donations from local businesses, organizations, patrons, and monies raised during the Summer Reading Fair. Please be sure to visit our sponsors page and tell them you saw them listed on our site. |
