How to do a basic search in the LISLib OPAC

Enter one or more search terms in the search box and click the magnifying glass symbol to start the search

The drop-down list that appears will offer alternative terms to the one entered - select one if you wish to try an alternative search on the same topic

To the left of the search box a drop down box helps tailor your search: choose "Word" for general word or phrase searches, or search by genre, subject, title, author and so on

Another dropdown box allows you to choose whether you search in the LIBLis or an external library: simply click on the option you want to search the library

How to place a reservation

    1.    First login by clicking on "Login" and entering your username and password

    2.    Do a search for the title you need

    3.    Locate an item that you want to reserve in the results list and put a
           tick in the corresponding tickbox

   4.   Click on the "Reserve" button

    5.   Select availability and the branch you wish to pick the item up from, then save
          the reservation by clicking on the "Save" button

The cost of reservations is $3.00 per item

  How to use the self-check module

1.    First you need to click on "Login" and then enter your username and password

2.   Click on the "Self-Circulation" button below the search box

3.   Enter your library ID into the "Borrower ID" box and press Enter.

4. To borrow, click on the "Borrow" button and scan or manually enter the barcode/s
     of the item/s you wish to borrow

     - Your item will display on the list on the right side of the screen

     - Click on the "Finish" button when you have finished

   To return, click on the "Return" button and scan or manually enter the
   barcode/s of the item/s you wish to borrow

   - Your item will display on the list on the right side of the screen

   - Click the "Finish" button when you have finished
