In the May 8th 1998 Awake p.21, it stated:

The watchtower's preoccupation of using "some, many, they and their" rather than say "WE" - as it is the GB that have got these things wrong, definitely not the average mr & mrs jw.
The GB's dodging and sidestepping is very apt.
