Hi Al,
>You know there is a considerable layer of silt in the middle east. But it ends there.
It's quite thick and uniform. I wonder what that was?
Let me guess, a flood? So, you now could support my position, which is that some
great flood wiped out a large region and the survivors thought it was global? It is nonsense to contend that floods of rivers and lakes caused the flood myths to spring up in different areas.
I think it is just as plausible that some
middle eastern flood (way back when) started the whole legend and it was carried by far flung travellers who settled in different lands.
There is also a lot of speculation about ancient civilizations being wiped out by natural
disasters, including the present dispute about the age of the great pyramids and the Spinx, the presence of Coca in mummies (South American plant not present in Egypt), the similarities of structures in South America and Egypt and age of
those very same. Fasold also said something about the blocks used in the Giza pyramid size being derived from the mathematical pi and he contends that the alleged Ark on Utaru is also.
Inland seas on every continent in past ages.
Salt lakes at high elevations.
If man has existed in present form for, let's say 100,000 years, why aren't we 'shoulder to shoulder'(in numbers)?
What catastrophe 'did in' man to such an extent?
Have you heard of the method of
'population doubling' for figuring out how many people would be in existence now without the culling effects of a global disaster.
The book you read was by Schroeder, Genesis and the Big Bang. You can check out Fasold's Ark of Noah at a local library. I can't do it justice here. I see why he broke with Wyatt on the other stuff, besides the Ark.
I don't know what you want from me. I hope you don't expect me to go line-by-line on your posts. I don't have that kind of
time.
As far as my remarks about person's here doing critiques of different professions you were not included in that and I think you know who I meant.
I have read so many things on geology I fear I would get your post mixed up with
other's opinions. I will save your posts on file and look at them in detail.
