: When Job was contending with the apostates of his day,

These apostates, as you call the three 'friends' of Job, actually told him repeatedly that he suffered because of his sins.

Now, who could that be today, that claims that all human suffering is caused by their own sins?

You randomly tear Bible texts out of context and apply them to your religious enemies. Fact is, the original writer of Psalms -- for example -- would be mortified at the thought of one pagan (you!) applying these texts to the beliefs of other pagans.

You have no more right to applying these texts to others than any other person have in applying them to you. It's only that they aren't dumb enough to do this.
