With prophecy you always have to look for a best fit. It is rarely unambiguous enough to be REALLY impressive. If Bible prophecies are really words from a "divine" agent applicable for today they will have to fit events better than anything we've seen so far.

It is certainly strange that no Bible writers discussed the anticipated flight from Jerusalem and John living past that date never mentioned it.

For me, I think I will have to see the "sign of the son of man in heaven" before I am certain. Is this an indication that I don't have "faith"? We are told to have faith like Abraham. Abraham, so we are told, had actual visits of Angels. If an Angel visited me that would help me have faith, too!

I am basically a skeptic. But I keep going. (Publisher for 50 years-skeptic for 20 years). I'm going to see this ship arrive at its port or I'll see it down.

From my conversations with fellow believers, especially the old-timers who don't have the neophytes infatuation, I am not alone in my skepticism. They will all tell you "Soon? It's going to come soon? It's too late for it to come Soon."
