I agree with Liberal Elder. Focus on one subject, otherwise all controversial (doctrinal) items will be mentioned, but none really discussed. This will leave you behind with a very unsatisfied feeling. Besides that: why should you want to meet with a HCL member if you want to discuss various subjects?
Another suggestion when the HCL member comes up with stock-answers: get personal. Something like: "I know what The Watchtower says about this subject, but what do YOU think about these inconsistencies?" Etc.
One last remark: you should realize (like LE said) that you (and perhaps your wife) probably will be looked upon as apostates (or at least influenced by apostates). This will inevitably mean great emotional pressure on your wife ("stop discussing these things with your husband", etc.). When you decide to enter a discussion, you should be prepared to pay the price for it (emotionally).
