:60% of the new baptisms are countered by ones leaving, getting df or da when comparing new members to average pubs.
You and I know where most of their new members come from, and it ain't from field service. If the WTS wants to sustain growth, their ancient leaders should do what the Mormons do: get a great educations, high-paying job and have LOTS OF BABIES.
Most newly baptized dubs are dub children or close relatives of dubs. I've often wondered why the society, which keeps meticulous statistics, don't track (or if they do) doesn't publish what % of new baptisms were initially contacted in the door-to-door work.
Even in the halcyon years of the late sixties and early seventies, with paraduse just around the corner in '75, I only remember 6 or 7 people over a period of as many years becoming dubs as a result of a witness knocking on their door in field service.
And in those years they had a definite date for Paradise to sell! Just think how much worse it must be now.
