You probably don't understand how the WWW works. That is World Wide Web, aka (also known as) Internet works. It's not owned by anyone, and everyone can express their opinions. And many times those opinions are quite candid, since the protection of anonimity that a handle-name offers.
Everywhere I go they are talking! A sister at our C.A. bought a computer and took it home.
Don't mean to be rude, but if someone buys a computer, where are they going to take it and use it. At a Kingdom Hall, or at work? The fact that everyone has access to the Web from home is what may scare you lady, since this way they are able to do their own research, and examine their independed thinking and doubts about their belief systems. Something they COULDN'T do at the Kingdom Hall or at your house.
And this tool (computer + internet) is allowing others, such as Mormons, Fundies, etc. see the whole picture, not just one side of the coin.
Poor thing got on and the Yahooligans gave her a link to h2o listed in the Jehovah's Witnesses section!
Using diminutive language or put-down words won't score any points with me lady. You have to prove to me why Yahoo is rightly called Yahooligans.
She was shocked at the number of friends questioning the anointed!
I would be shocked too, sister. But that's understandable, since nobody would talk about their sincere doubts at a convention, kingdom hall, or field service.
What is this business about reform? THIS IS APOSTASY! Next you will reform God!
I don't know too much about reform. But I think it is regarding the governing body who claims to speak for the annointed, when in fact, it is the other sheep in the Writing Department who are doing all the writing in the Watchtower/Awake. The Governing Body just votes on the articles/pictures and perform other admin. functions. Why aren't the other annointed, worldwide, encouraged to submit articles, and make meaningful contribution at Jehovah's feeding table???
How do you jump from the annointed to God ? Please do not try to twist our heads with your corrupted logic. Just because some believe the Society needs reform, doesn't mean that God will be reformed. There's a BIG difference between God and the annointed/Governing-Body/or anyone else who claims to speak for Jah.
Disgraceful attitude. Brother Donolley who happens to be my husband of 40 years even said someone called him a troll! The man is trying to save your hides from Armageddon and look how he is repayed! Trolls are mythological demonic little creatures, migit in size, who live under bridges in childrens tails. Some worship trolls!
I'm sorry your husband got called names. I hope it wasn't too serious. But a little sense of humor would help a lot.
Trolls don't exist. They might be a figment of your imagination, but they do not scare me. Cause they are a fable, a story, a story to put children to sleep. So I disregard it as childish I don't know why you make such a big deal out of it, lady ? You still didn't make development/growth that every normal kid makes when they grow up ??? Do you know what REALITY is?
Speaking of labeling others, a man who has put in almost five decades (5 decades) of solid organizational service and even sacrificed a degree is certainly not setting a sensible example! The part that offends me most of all is being married to the man and seeing him endure the apostate element! Give me one good reason why I shouldn't turn the whole bunch of you into your congregation elders? Please stop upsetting the friends. (SIGH!)
It's great that your husband spent five decades doing work that he was devoted to. But you said it, "organizational service!" Doing service to a organization/society is not the samething as doing service to God Almighty - Jehovah. One is to men, to a man-made system, the other is out of purely-self-iniciated motives, not because someone said this is what's acceptable (10hrs/month, 60hrs/month, etc...)!
I ask that any of the friends who want to plan a strategy to stop h2o from reform meet me in the JW chat area on AOL at the regular chat time.
I tend to be neutral. I could care less, one way or the other. Serving God Almighty is what matters to me.
