It is my position that the df'ing policy will never go away completely.

I beleive ti should be altered though and think that, in time, it will. As I mentioned in a thread below this is a real pet policy for exactly the reasons you mention.

More and more individual Witnesses are softening their own position on family members and from what I have seen would react favourably to any such change/new light/correction ... whatever.

But in the meantime I have chosen to get out of Her. She is not, in my opinion, god's only true religion, directed by him or the Son. I also believe they are not the devil incarnate either. Simply another organised religion. Time will tell if I ever go back but without change it is highly unlikely.

I feel about organised religion much the way I feel about liver. First liver is the body's filtration system. The "stuff" that goes through there is unmentionable though some might call it food (nourishment). I can't stand the smell the texture or the taste of liver. So I avoid it. Need I continue to draw the comparison? I thought not.
