Many changes come about to tighten up loop holes that give the R & F unnecessary freedom. See how quickly the WTS responded to the Ray Franz incident? They tightened up the rules on d'fing and shunning virtually over night. However your other comment about how they've been forced to make changes because of painting themselves into corners - this is one reason they'll take more care in the future. Considering how the internet is plastering their mistakes all over cyber space, the WTS will now take more time to consider the implications of their actions - to save the now perfected act of whiping egg off their faces. I get the feeling that they will hang on to what is; blood, d'fing etc for as long as humanly possible, but it's what they speak out about in the future that they will consider more carefully - cause they know there are a bunch of people out there who scrutinize their every move and advertise their mistakes for all to see.
