What you're doing, Friend, is blaming "the brothers" for yet another of the Society's failings, just like the Society today blames
"the brothers" for its leader failings in the 1975 fiasco and in so many other areas. "It's your fault
because you listened to us!"
No it is still the Society's fault as they are the ultiate decision makers on policy. It was also a minority of very vocal brothers back int eh 40's and 50's and in no way was it a majority. The GB are responsible to god as well as to the international brotherhood for policy, good and bad.
Illustration: A judge listens to opposing sides and makes a judgement. It is referred to as his judgment despite the fact it was influenced by opposing counsel. Same with GB. They take in the info and make a judgment. Only problem is we don't have an appeal court to override bad decisions.
The actual application of accountability is yet to be determined.
