please no. there must be other ways. after all, if people are making concerted efforts to disrupt, they can always reincarnate as someone else - different email/IP/etc.
I have seen no evidence that people here would go against the explicitly stated wishes of the administrators - even Covert, when banned, was really only posting in jest as Vertoc or whatever.
In the first instance, I'd suggest that all it takes to ban someone is to tell them they're banned, and to take up the matter (of their banning or un-banning with a moderator/administator if they wish. Most here, I would expect would accept the umpire's decision.
