Of course there were. Even cults have to let their members have good times, and if some cults try to prevent it, people will naturally find a way to have them.

I missed out on going to college because "present Cult-Truth" at the time made one's life miserable for even THINKING about it. We can thank Da Judge for that.

I felt the same way until I decided to leave: then these "greatest people" turned on me, and totally forgot the good times and a whole lifetime of growing up together. My best JW friend who was also best man at my wedding said I was worse than a "dog returning to his own vomit."
Oh, for the good old days of Cult Life! Not!
