Hi Joseph,
I can appreciate that aspect of your argument
about preaching to gospel to everyone, but
this preaching will be done to the survivors
of Armageddon in a special setting under the
rule of the Messiah. Then it will
be determined
how much influence Satan would have on those
who had all the advantages of "knowing God" and
his requirements and without the distractions,
apparently, of sickness and other imperfections.
As far as the second
resurrection goes, which
happens during Judgment Day, after the millennium
and after Satan is destroyed, Matthew 25 clearly shows on what bases these persons will be judged, and judged based upon what they already did in their
previous lives. And it simply boils down to this:
LOVE OF FELLOWMAN.
As Matthew says, for those that did not treat Jesus right, didn't feed him or take care of him, they would go on his left. And those on this left would ask, "When did we see you hungry and did not feed you?" And Jesus would say: "That fact that you did not do it to the least of these, my brothers, you did not do it to me."
Thus the criteria for going on to the trees of life is very simple. How did that person treat his fellowman? Did he cheat on his wife? Did he steal from his neighbor? Did he murder his brother? Or did he show kindness and love?
Based upon that, a judgment can be made for anyone, whether they knew the full "truth" or not.
So those coming back in the second resurrection will be judged on a different basis and not based upon whether they knew the "truth" or not or even knew God.
Cheers,
Gary
