Hi Joseph,

Okay, I respect your view on this.

But please understand that the Bible does contrast types of bodies specifically. 1 Cortinthinas 15 talks about a "physical body" and a "spiritual" one. And it says that bodies are different, one from the other. But of particular note, the "term" applied to a spiritual body is "incorruptible" whereas the term applied to a physical body is "corruption."

So......what can I say? There are some semantic differences here that need to be refined and cleared up. It's not so straight up and down it would seem, Joseph.

On the other hand, I will give you this. That a spirit body can be destroyed so therefore could be
considered non-immortal. But some spiritual bodies I believe, while being "incorruptible" are still mortal, while others will apparently be, as in the case of Jesus and the 144,000 who have been tested until the death, be given "immortality" and they are the only ones in the universe besides Jehovah who will have this immortaility.

So a lot of splitting hairs here with terms. We will have to take scripture, by scripture and look at the points and alternatives if you like. There certainly is no "general" rule here that can apply to everything.

Cheers,
Gary
