In the 1974 Yearbook brother Paul Balzereit was accused by the WTS of watering down articles (including the text of the Declaration of Facts), making financial gain from fellow JWs and various other acts of deceit. The recent Awake article addressing the Declaration of Facts effectively cleared Paul�s name, but, there was no public apology for the defamation from the 1974 Yearbook. I don�t have knowledge of all the facts, but it could be that, while Paul was cleared of �watering down� the Declaration of Facts that he was guilty of other things. I don�t have the Awake article before me presently and I cannot quite remember the exact wording, and, as I said, I don�t presently have all the facts.
As for taking money from Jews and other matters related to the Declaration of Facts, perhaps you�ll find the post entitled Jews and JWs interesting.
