You'll have to do better. It's easy just to say it's too complex, let's just close the book.
If you want to get into trying to identify the "chosen" (I won't say 100% "true") religion, you can do so by studying the scriptures and finding out what they would be doing specifically in the time of the end.
One thing they would be doing is preaching the "good news." Certainly no one will mistake Jehovah's Witnesses as not being preachers of the good news in contrast with many others. Even mormons who seem to be out there preaching a bit, it is done by a few "elders" who are missionaries. Nothing like the Witnesses.
Furthermore, they THINK they are the "spiritual Israel"of our day and they have a focuss on the 144,000. That's unique!
So there is definitely more Biblical truth among them than in all of Christendom. I don't think if you're looking too desperately you wouldn't come up with this same conclusion. In fact, some outsiders, who are not witnesses, have figured out the significance of the Witness cult as being the one prophesied in scripture.
But don't feel too overwhelmed. Remember, they are also prophesied to have their problems, their leadership was prophesied to get egotistical and start lording over all the other members and would eventually apostasize, etc. All the while, they still would gather in many whom would be decent folks, good Christians for the most part, etc.
So, bottom line, it's not a perfect religion, it's not the only way to please god, you can do that as an individual, but it does have a special place in Biblical prophecy.
As far as us not knowing when these things will occur. The bible provides us with definite chronology to give us at least a general timeframe for when these critical events will take place. Thus the 2520 years from the Neo-Babylonian Era very much indicates the post 1914 A.D. 20th century as for the time when the Messiah would appear. So it is not all as up for grabs as you think.
Understanding what's going on and how prophecies are fulfilled requires studying god's word. When one does that, then many things can be recognized as happening during our day and with certain organizations.
