To answer your well thought out questions:

Do you plan on attending the memorial tonight? Why?

I'm still not sure. It all depends if I finish work early today or if I'm going to give a second consideration to the informal way that I'm dressed today.

But I would really like to go and see my old (2 yrs ago) friends from my old (2 yrs ago) congregation. I would attend the BTWTS's Memorial out of a social interest/convenience but not out of duty.

Did you celebrate it last night according to the Jewish passover date?

Interestingly enough, I was invited to join a group of believers and we did have a very wonderful commemoration of Christ's sacrifice and his last supper.

Do you partake of the bread and wine? Why?

Well, when I was an active JW, I did not partake.

Last night, when I joined a group of Christians (formerly associated with the WTBTS or aware of JW's beliefs/doctrines) I didn't partake of the symbols representing the body and blood of Christ because I do not consider myself a believer (Christian). I'm still on my own pilgrim journey (critic, agnostic). But I do have a great deal of respect and admiration for the persons who take their walk with God and/or Jesus seriously and who have the "love" that Jesus was talking about. Thus, it was a very special occasion for me to be part of a group of sincere believers who would read the scriptures together, comment and offer their views without dogmatism/legalistic-mentality, recite the Jewish prayer of Passover, and then partake the emblems in a worthy and dignified manner.

Since I don't consider myself a believer I didn't want to partake and thus make it unworthy before god Almighty.

That's all for me, Obed. How about you? Would you mind answering the same questions? I'm curious about what made you ask the second question.

Blessings,

RomGabe
