Hi Rahab,

Sometimes JWs are chastised for repeating the same old cliches in defense of their beliefs. Sometimes such chastisement is warranted, especially when their defense is riddled with inaccuracies and illogic.

Your testimony was not; it was entirely honest and personal. But it also is nothing that any of us hadn't heard before. I appreciate that through much effort and soul-searching you have found God, but you also must appreciate that through perhaps the same if not greater effort, others have not. Please don't assume or infer that God 'wants to have a relationship' and that reading your post or some other piece of literature is leading me to God, and I just am ignoring the signals, consciously or un-.

Aside from emotionalism, I think I could make a pretty good case for the existence of a personal and relevant God if I wanted to, but I just don't have it in me anymore to argue that position conscientiously. But I am glad that people like you find peace and happiness with your belief, and I wouldn't want it any other way for you if you find that path satisfying.
