Based upon general information, Easter, is the first Sunday after the full moon following the spring equinox (March 21).
Here is there report on the full moon:
The date of Easter for 1999
The Spring Equinox was on Sunday, 21
March at 1:46 GMT.
The next Mean Full Moon was on Thursday, 1 April at 1:22 GMT.
The next True Full Moon was on Wednesday, 31 March at 22:51 GM
Based upon this, April 1 is a good date for Nisan 14. One must remember that
everybody does not see the full moon at the same time, so if you base it on pure observation, then some people will be celebrating one day and others the next. That is, the moon might not be quite full in New York on the same day it
becomes full in Hawaii, so New York will celebrate a day later, etc.
Others get hung up over when its a full moon in Jerusalem, and as you noted, the Jewish calendar does it's own thing now, seemingly irrespective of the moon's actual phases. In addition, one source indicated that Karaite Jews this year will have their Passover next month.
So it's up for grabs.
Anyway, amazingly, JWs will be celebrating it on a technically appropriate day this year, on Nisan
15th!!! Which is good for those who know the difference and want to partake......oh, I forgot.
Nevermind.
