There doesn't seem to be any unanimous consensus on the dating of the Bhagavad Gita (with the undeniable parallels between Christ/Krishna, Mary/Devaki, etc.). It seems that the majority view the writing as having taken place between the 5th and 3rd centuries B.C. Others claim dates after A.D. 150.
I haven't found any websites/information that discusses the dating of the Bhagavad Gita specifically. The 500-200 dating seems to be supported by the contents of the Gita. This essay deals briefly with that date. This page however, claims that the Gita must have been written around A.D. 200, based on two main arguments: 1. That the Gita was written in Sanskrit which was not common until after A.D. 150, and 2. That there existed Christian disciples in India around the time of the apostles in the first century. Does any of this have merit?
If anyone knows where there's more information on this please post it. Thanks.
