Ah, yes the lovely civic centre. The HOT civic centre. The civic centre with lots of washrooms for bro and very few for sis. Good planning that.

J is right, there are a lot of good-looking sisters at the Ottawa conventions.

The record for the worst assembly was the one in Montreal at the Olympic Stadium. 80,000 JWs crowded in. My family, including a baby, got the nose-bleed section.

It was hot, and dizzy (from the height and steep stairs). There was something like two washrooms for sisters. The mother's room had zero privacy, bro could easily see over the walls.

The lines at lunch were so long that they were out of food before you got to the counter. Try living on only "spiritual food" all afternoon when you have two young children.

By the end of the second day, I was cursing and swearing. THAT didn't make the news reports on the well-behaved JWs at their convention.

Thankfully, my wife got sick earlier the third day, and we could go home. I not thankful she got sick, I am thankful we could go home.

The good thing is, after that disaster, they figured out how to do food service right and were very efficient at any following assemblies. Then they canned food service.

I survived the Convention From Hell,

SS
