The Water Canopy is not necessary, either for a literal LOCAL flood NOR for a literal GLOBAL
flood.
Personally, I believe the flood took place.
I am also more than open to the strong likelihood

The Water Canopy was brought to the fore by Seventh Day Adventist writers who were trying to reconcile science with some of the visions Ellen G. White claimed that she had received from God about the literal recent creation of the earth.
Next, WHERE did the water come from?
You do believe in GOD don't you?
If God were to decide to wipe out a given society, he could
easily bring into being the means by which to do that, without having to collapse
a water canopy. A water canopy around this earth would do more than create a greenhouse effect, Godfroi, the pressure alone would make human life
impossible.
As to the quick frozen mammoths, there
are frozen mammoths, the question is whether they were quick-frozen (instantaneously) while in standing position in a field chowing-down on
buttercups. Those who assert THAT are
misleading you and misquoting EVEN the original accounts of the finding of the Beresovka mammoth.
