David and I went to a discussion group at the Uni the other night about spirituality. It was open to all - athiests, believers or other inst. persons. The campus catholic priest was there, though I didn't know that till afterwards. I found it sooooooooooooooo waffly. I am a bit intimidated by academics - I know I'm married to one but.... anyway after a while - and with the assistance of the wine we were drinking, I made an effort to nail some of these folk down. They are so careful not to leave the trunk, they don't even commence to go out on the limb. Hence it was hard to know what they actually believed. I'm certain Hell doesn't figure in the picture. Satan doesn't get a gernsey. Evil is not knowing God etc. I found myself thinking that I don't care for the fundie approach, but at least you know where you stand with them. So why not fess up and tell me what you DO believe. Email will do if you'd rather. I'm interested to know because you seem a smart fella, and I don't think you'd be taken in easily. IMHO. :-)
