Apparently there's an "abbreviation" feature on the typewriter I didn't know about. You put it in abbreviation mode, type "HH" and Happy Holidays appears- with no demon assistance! Type "HA" and Halloween appears, type "RM" and Registered Mail appears, etc.

So now the question is- was this a prank or a real accident? I have NO MERCY when I am wronged like that. But I think the scales are tipped slightly in favor of accident. She was typing on an important legal form which I doubt she'd deface even for a prank. Also, this "abbreviation" key is located right next to the "shift" key, so an easy mistake could have been made.

So I guess the ol' Smith Corona isn't really a toy of Beelzebub after all. The VCR on the other hand...
