All right, I'll agree: the quote about 1943 and the chronology change from 1874 to the "mid-'70s" is pretty much irrelevent to the issue. I only brought it up because it helped illustrate your mishandling of the facts.

Maybe not. Maybe the WT writers were thoroughly ignorant, or incompetent. But I don't think so; the older material is too readily available and clear for WT writers to miss or misunderstand it.
Now, perhaps you might want to deal with the meat of my post (for instance, the significance of the 1878 date) instead of getting sidetracked on an small
