Stop and think for a moment. Adam and his wife lived to almost a millenium, and aging has declined since to an all-time low of approximately 100 years on average (or maybe 80 years depending whose statistics one relies upon). Quibbling about the low end of man's aging process we have reached is beside the point. Keep in mind that if science were to increase mankind's lifespan to 500 years, that we're still centuries below Adam's dying of old age in his 900's. (Evidence of Adam's age when he died is in Genesis, the exact verse eludes me offhand.) 500 years back when Adam lived was like being in one's 40's today, and 250 years like being in one's 20's. Why get startled when science starts stripping away the aging "markers" in our genome to create multi-centurian lifespans, when the Bible says even a day is like a thousand years in the eyes of Jehovah?
