M14's response was in no sense a rebuttal. Indeed, he showed that he has little firsthand knowledge of early Bible Student beliefs, in the sense of having read the old literature and understood it on its own terms and without his WTS-colored glasses on. All he can do is reference modern WTS literature, which suffers from the problem at issue here -- being subtly misleading. Almost as bad, he demonstrably does not even understand what some of this modern material says.
If you simply follow the link I provided in my response to M14, you'll find plenty of quotes proving what I and others have said. Then, assuming your KH has a decent
library or you have access to the old material, you can verify it for yourself. I know exactly what this old stuff says because I have most of it in my own library. If you can't get it anywhere else I'll be happy to mail you photocopies,
