I like your style, but there is something you overlooked. "JaneyJJJ" is using the EXACT login she has been emailed by H2O's system. Even though the FPP doesn't specifically state it, the login is similar to the prefix of an email address: "unless H2O considers the screen name generic enough to be common, or the name is part of someone's email address".
I've stated before that logins are on a first come, first serve basis. Further, the reason I didn't eliminate the Name: field altogether is to allow "NIM" postings or exclamation type comments. If I had eliminated the Name: field, JaneyJJJ's login would have appeared. Since H2O's system compares logins to previous ones, the system could not have issued her JaneyJJJ if it was already in use.
Further, I'm puzzled because the original "Janey" who has posted for several years on H2O has the fair use on H2O to "Janey" just like the first Janey on AOL got Janey as a login. You're on AOL. Would AOL consider someone with the login JaneyJJJ as impersonating someone with the login of Janey?
I just thought I'd point this out. If you feel the system shouldn't issue "similar names," they please tell me why? Janey and Janey8099 are two possible AOL screen names showing that both share the same name as Janey (just as I'm sure there's someone else out there with the name of Rick ;-) but one has reserved Janey and the other Janey8099. No confusion exists, nobody will say "but they're both Janey even if one has numbered in the name, I'm confuuuused.." :-)
