To allow everyone to participate in communion would obviously erode the boundaries they have created for the two castes in the organization. Remember they have devised a hierarchy where most of the Dubs do not
have Jesus as their direct mediator.
It keeps the old men of the GB happy that they weild this power and they want to establish it even in the core rituals of christianity.
