I don't think there is a lot that can be done to restore that faith in a man made organization. If he isn't doing any reading of outside material then do not encourage him to start, this will only make his crisis worse. Don't let him know about sights like this one out on the net either. That is if your purpose is to help him. If you can encourage him to avoid these things, and then encourage him to regularly study the literature without going to deeply for awhile, maybe you'll be able to help him past this dangerous time he's having from thinking to deeply and concientiously on matters that are obviously important to him.
