Rosetta I agree with you when you say this is what the society wants. Seeing this site and others like it closed down would be a feather in their cap.
I started coming to this site only a few months ago. I stayed because both sides of the story were being told. I was glad to see others who had gone through the same kind of re-thinking process that I had gone through. I found it refreshing to hear more than one side, the societies side, of things.
I couldn't talk to anyone at the hall about how I felt. If I tried they just told me it was my thinking that needed corrected. I couldn't even talk to my own wife about how I felt until just the last couple of years. This board has helped many people know that they are not alone.
I was like you and just walked away. I am not DF'd or DA'd. I have people I care about who still are JW's. Some of them no longer talk to me or my wife because the elders have marked us as bad association. I keep hopeing they will find sites like this and maybe someday their thinking process will go through a change.
I am with you all the way. I plan to stay, and I think things will get better.
I think we should all just re-focus on why we are here, and just get on with things that are important. If messages get deleted, then they get deleted. We just have to keep trying. If one wording doesn't work we can try something different. The main thing is not to give up.
